Exposure Group is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and coordinate production from our Seven Hills manufacturing facility.

Working across a diverse range of custom projects including retail displays, exhibitions, branded environments, activations, promotional vehicles and custom interior joinery, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are properly planned, resourced and delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the required quality.

This is a key operational role connecting our Project Management, Design, Technical and Production teams. You will work closely with our Factory Manager to manage production schedules, capacity, resources, materials, suppliers, quality and competing project priorities.

You will be expected to have strong practical and technical manufacturing knowledge, including the ability to work with CAD, Fusion 360 and 3D modelling . You should be capable of reviewing, modifying or creating technical information yourself where this adds value, while effectively delegating routine detailing and production work to the appropriate resources.

We are looking for a manager who understands that their primary role is to make the whole production operation perform , rather than personally completing every task.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and manage production schedules across multiple concurrent projects.
- Maintain clear visibility of current and upcoming workload, capacity and deadlines.
- Coordinate production priorities with Project Managers and the Factory Manager.
- Review projects before manufacture to ensure drawings, specifications, materials and other production information are complete.
- Identify production risks,



bottlenecks and resource constraints before they affect delivery.
- Plan labour, materials, subcontractors and specialist resources to meet project requirements.
- Monitor production progress and proactively resolve issues affecting programme or quality.
- Review and interrogate CAD drawings and 3D models and undertake technical modelling or modifications where appropriate.
- Work with technical resources to ensure production drawings and documentation are accurate and practical to manufacture.
- Coordinate procurement and monitor critical material and supplier lead times.
- Manage external manufacturing and specialist subcontractors where required.
- Maintain quality throughout production and ensure completed work meets approved specifications before dispatch.
- Work with the Factory Manager to maintain a safe, organised and productive manufacturing environment.
- Communicate clearly with Project Management, Design, Production, suppliers and management.
- Delegate effectively and ensure work is allocated to the appropriate people.
- Support the implementation and continued improvement of digital production, scheduling, manufacturing and quality systems.
- Continually identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, processes and production efficiency.

About You





You will ideally have significant experience managing production within a custom or project-based manufacturing environment .

Relevant backgrounds may include commercial joinery, retail display manufacture, exhibitions, shopfitting, set building, signage, architectural fabrication, furniture manufacture, metal fabrication or similar custom manufacturing.

You will bring:

- Proven production management experience.
- Strong planning, scheduling and organisational skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Strong people leadership and the ability to delegate effectively.
- Clear, constructive communication skills.
- Solid practical understanding of manufacturing methods and materials.
- CAD and 3D modelling capability, ideally including Fusion 360.
- Ability to interpret technical and production drawings.
- Experience coordinating suppliers and subcontractors.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Commercial awareness around labour, materials, time and production efficiency.
- A practical approach to quality control and continuous improvement.
- Confidence using digital production, ERP or project-management systems.

Trade qualifications or a strong practical manufacturing background would be highly regarded.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who takes ownership without needing to control everything personally — someone technically capable enough to step in when required, but with the leadership and judgement to build, delegate to and manage a capable production team.
