Maitland Emergency Department is a busy and progressive service, leading the way in innovative models of care including Fast Track, Paediatrics, Acute Floor, Rescue and Front of House (FOH). What You Will Be Doing

As a Nurse Practitioner within Maitland Emergency Department, you will provide advanced clinical practice while working collaboratively with the broader multidisciplinary team.

You will:

- Work across Maitland ED's diverse models of care, including Fast Track, Paediatrics, Acute Floor, Rescue and Front of House.
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management within your scope of practice.
- Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, allied health and other multidisciplinary team members.
- Support consistent application of strong clinical processes and models of care.
- Contribute to safe,



timely and person-centred emergency care.
- Use your advanced clinical skills to support patient flow and positive patient outcomes.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to the broader nursing team.
- Act as a leader and educator, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of nursing staff.
- Contribute to education, clinical development and continuous improvement.
- Support a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, development and staff retention.

You will be supported by experienced nursing and medical teams, with access to education, mentoring, clinical guidance and professional development opportunities. The structured transition pathway will provide support as you develop confidence across Maitland ED's different models of care.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner who thrives in a busy and changing emergency environment and enjoys working as part of a cohesive team.

You will bring:

- Demonstrated emergency nursing experience.
- Current Nurse Practitioner registration and endorsement with AHPRA.
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and advanced practice skills.
- The ability to adapt confidently to a busy and evolving emergency environment.
