Business Development Manager - Intumescent Coatings/Passive Fire Protection

This is a great prospect for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established supplier of passive fire protection systems and help drive the next stage of growth across Victoria.

The business specialises in intumescent coatings and associated fire-rated products, working across commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.

While the business is well established, they are very forward-thinking and have ambitious plans for continued growth and expansion and are already planning their growth through 2027 and beyond.

The Role

- Develop new business across the Melbourne construction and infrastructure market
- Grow sales of intumescent coatings and passive fire protection products
- Build relationships with builders, fire engineers, specifiers, contractors and asset owners
- Identify new projects from early specification through to delivery
- Drive product specification and influence purchasing decisions
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers alongside internal technical teams
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing




- Maintain a strong pipeline and accurately forecast future sales
- Attend site meetings, client presentations and industry events

About You

We're looking for an experienced BDM or technical sales professional who understands construction and project-driven sales.

You could come from:

- Construction or building products
- Protective coatings
- Technical construction products
- Engineering products or solutions

You will need to be commercially minded, confident dealing with technical stakeholders and comfortable developing relationships from the ground up.
