Unison Solar Energy is building its capabilities in Australian solar manufacturing and is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our growing manufacturing operations.

In this role, you'll have the prospect to play a key part in delivering safe, efficient and reliable production performance across the manufacturing facility. Working closely with key stakeholders, you'll drive performance, optimise resources and ensure production targets are consistently achieved.

Production Leadership : Drive safe, efficient and reliablemanufacturing operationsacross stringing, lay-up, lamination, framing, curing, EL testingand packaging.

People & Reliability : Leadhigh-performing teamsand collaborate withkey stakeholdersto improve capability, equipment reliabilityand production output.

Responsibilities

- Lead day-to-day production operations, ensuring safe, reliableand efficient manufacturing.
- Establish and maintaineffective production systems, SOPs and workinstructions
- Ensure production targetsare achieved acrossoutput, quality, costand delivery.
- Develop production plansaligned with materials, workforce, equipmentand customer requirements.
- Monitor production dataand KPIs toidentify gaps, constraintsand improvement opportunities.




- Monitor material availability, resolve supply constraints.
- Champion production safetythroughrisk assessments, training, inspections andproactive hazard management.
- Develop and manageproduction plans alignedwith materials, labour, equipment and customerrequirements.
- Optimise workforce, materials, equipment and energyutilisation to maximiseproduction efficiency.
- Champion production safetythroughrisk assessments, training, inspections andproactive hazard management.
- Maintain accurate productionreports, dashboards and operationalrecords.
- Provide senior managementwith regular updateson performance, risks, constraints and resources.

What you will bring

- Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent manufacturing-related discipline
- Relevant tertiary qualificationin Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administrationor a relateddiscipline.
- 8+ years' experienceacross end-to-end manufacturingoperations, with 3+ years in aProduction Manager orsenior production leadershiprole.
- Demonstrated ability toleadlarge production teamsof 40-50+ employees and developfrontline supervisors andfuture leaders.




- Strongunderstanding of productionplanning, KPI management, OEE, data analysisand manufacturing performanceimprovement.
- Provenexperience leading automatedmanufacturing operations, ideally within solar, renewable energy orenergy storage environments.
- Strong knowledge ofsolar module manufacturingprocesses, equipment, troubleshooting, qualitycontrol and defectroot-cause analysis.
- Practical experience managingproduction budgets, labourand material costs, energy consumption andscrap reduction initiatives.
- Strong analytical capability, with proficiency inExcel, production dataanalysis and manufacturingKPI reporting.
- Strong knowledge ofLean manufacturing andcontinuous improvementmethodologies, with afocus on efficiency, waste reduction andprocess reliability.
- Experience with MESimplementation, smart manufacturinginitiatives andproduction dashboard development.
