Role: IT Business Analyst - Financial Health

Location: Sydney, NSW

Contract: 6 months, with potential for extension

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to support a major Financial Health transformation programme. This is a senior stakeholder-facing role requiring strong business analysis, financial services experience and the ability to translate complex business needs into practical technology solutions.

You will work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders across strategy, requirements, delivery and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end business analysis across transformation initiatives.
- Work with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives and define solutions.
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, documentation and traceability.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to drive alignment.
- Analyse business processes, customer needs, risks and opportunities.
- Develop business cases, options analysis and support investment decisions.
- Work closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Risk and Compliance teams.
- Define and support UAT, business readiness and implementation activities.
- Identify risks, assumptions, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to governance,



programme reporting and stakeholder communications.
- Mentor and support other Business Analysts where required.

About You

- 7 to 10 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, ideally within financial services or consumer finance.
- Strong understanding of financial health, financial inclusion, lending, debt management, savings and consumer vulnerability.
- Proven experience working on complex transformation programmes in regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience engaging senior leaders.
- Excellent requirements gathering, process analysis and documentation skills.
- Experience working across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Understanding of financial services regulatory, risk and compliance requirements.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with UAT and end-to-end project delivery.
- Experience in financial health or financial inclusion programmes.
- Exposure to open banking, consumer lending or debt advice .
- Experience in customer-centric or outcomes-based transformation programmes.
- Previous experience in government, financial services or the not-for-profit sector.
