About the role

Our client is a well-established and growing landscape construction business operating across Queensland, delivering projects that shape the spaces communities live, work and play in. They're now looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of project delivery from planning through to handover, balancing budget, program, quality and client satisfaction across multiple concurrent sites.

This role also carries a mentoring component, supporting the development of Site Managers as they progress from Site Supervisor through to Project Manager, so you'll be someone who genuinely enjoys building capability in others as much as delivering great outcomes on the ground.

What you'll be doing

- Developing detailed project plans covering budgets, procurement, construction programs and resourcing
- Managing project costs and financial reporting, keeping delivery within tendered margins
- Administering contracts, including RFIs, EOTs, variations and progress claims
- Identifying and mitigating risks across safety, program, commercial and site operations
- Acting as the primary client contact, leading meetings, site inspections and progress reviews
- Overseeing labour, plant and subcontractor resourcing across sites
- Driving quality and safety compliance, including SWMS, ITPs and inspection documentation




- Mentoring and developing Site Managers and site-based teams

What you'll bring

- 5+ years' project management experience in landscape or civil construction
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing budgets and margins
- Hands-on experience with contract administration (RFIs, EOTs, variations)
- Confident client-facing communication and relationship management skills
- A solid grasp of safety compliance, SWMS and quality control processes
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop site-based teams
- The ability to juggle multiple projects and sites at once

Desirable but not essential:

- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management or similar
- Landscape construction experience in Queensland, including familiarity with TMR specifications
- Experience with project management/scheduling software
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
