MacKellar is seeking an experienced Production Mining Trainer & Assessor to join our growing open cut mining operation at Nyngan, NSW. This is a permanent full time position on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Brisbane , with accommodation and meals provided.

About the role:

You’ll be responsible for delivering practical training, coaching and competency assessments to production operators across a range of mobile mining equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

- Training and assessing operators on haul trucks, dozers, graders, water trucks, excavators and other mobile equipment
- Conducting inductions, practical assessments and competency-based training
- Delivering refresher training and operator upskilling




- Assessing competency against relevant RII units and site requirements
- Maintaining accurate training and competency records
- Working with supervisors and operational leaders to identify training needs
- Promoting safe, compliant and efficient operating practices

About you:

- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE40116 or current equivalent
- Previous experience as a Mining Trainer, Assessor, Production Trainer or similar
- Current RII competencies across mobile mining equipment
- Strong knowledge of open cut mining and production operations
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- The ability to build rapport with operators at varying experience levels
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance and quality training outcomes
