About the Role

TheWarehouse Manager is responsible for leading the Warehouse/Coolroom team to ensure optimum customer service is delivered, whilst ensuring safety, quality, environment, and productive productivity in line with business direction and strategy.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Manage and promote ‘on time and in full’ service in relation to our customer’s needs.




- Ensure corrective/preventative action is taken in instances of potential under or over-supply of product.
- Ensure the operation performs within the budgetary guidelines and that the Business Plan objectives are achieved.
- Manage the cost centre P&L; including – maintenance, materials, and labour (overseeing the staffing in the area of responsibility by efficient management of labour including management of the need for casuals, allocating duties, arranging meal breaks, giving positive and constructive feedback and taking appropriate disciplinary action when required, in consultation with management).
- Take appropriate disciplinary action, in consultation with HR as required.
- Lead/participate in the selection, recruitment, and training of staff.
- Ensure all trucks are loaded to meet cold room dispatch time.
- Ensure stock is rotated to support first in first out product flow.
- Ensure the cold room temperature is controlled to meet the required Lactalis standard.
- Manage all quality product issues through the correct channel leakers, labels, caps, temperature checks and shelf-life expiry dates.
- Participate as required in the Lactalis COR Management System.
- Maintain monthly stocktake counts and adjustments in SAP

About You

- At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management
- 3 years experience in people management
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
- Experience in FMCG distribution
