We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Night Shift Production Manager to join our Primary Processing team at Murarrie.

This is a key site leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for our overnight operations. Working approximately 10:00pm to 7:00am, you’ll be the senior operational leader on site, overseeing the transition from afternoon shift through shutdown, cleaning and pre-operational activities, before leading the successful start-up of production from approximately 3:00am.

You’ll bring together production, dispatch, maintenance, cleaning and support functions to ensure the site operates safely, efficiently and is set up for success each day. With accountability spanning people safety, food safety, animal welfare, labour, yield and operational performance, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact across one of our major Primary Processing facilities.

What you’ll do:

- Lead and oversee all night shift operations across the Murarrie Primary Processing site
- Manage the safe and effective shutdown of plant operations from approximately 11:00pm
- Oversee night-time dispatch operations and ensure service and operational requirements are achieved
- Coordinate maintenance activities during the overnight window to maximise plant reliability and readiness
- Oversee cleaning and pre-operational activities, ensuring required food safety,



hygiene and compliance standards are achieved
- Lead plant start-up from approximately 3:00am, ensuring production is ready to operate safely and efficiently
- Drive performance across labour, yield, throughput, quality and operational KPIs
- Maintain strong standards across people safety, food safety and animal welfare
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Cleaning, Quality, Dispatch and other site functions to resolve issues and minimise operational disruption
- Lead, coach and develop night shift teams, creating clear accountability and a positive, high-performance culture
- Provide effective handovers between shifts and ensure issues, priorities and actions are clearly communicated
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and strengthen overall site performance

What you’ll bring:

- Demonstrated leadership experience within a production, manufacturing, FMCG or similarly complex operational environment
- Experience leading large teams and multiple operational functions or workstreams
- Strong understanding of production performance, labour management and operational KPIs




- A proven ability to lead safely and maintain high standards in a regulated environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with the confidence to make sound decisions in a fast-moving operation
- The ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across Production, Maintenance, Quality and other support functions
- A hands-on and visible leadership style with a genuine commitment to developing people
- Strong communication, planning and organisational skills
- Flexibility and commitment to working permanent night shift hours, approximately 10:00pm–7:00am
