About the role:

UC’s Faculty of Health is currently recruiting for a passionate Lecturer in Health (education focused) to join us to inspire and prepare graduates in the evolving health, disability, and community sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity for an early career academic who is dedicated to student success and wishes to contribute meaningfully to innovative, high-quality health education. This role, plays a key part in delivering engaging learning experiences across interdisciplinary health programs, working collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and academic excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing and delivering high-quality classes
- Coordinating units and contributing to course management and quality assurance activities.
- Designing innovative and authentic assessment tasks that enhance student learning and graduate outcomes.
- Providing academic guidance, mentorship, and support to students.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will be a collegial, scholarly and inquisitive educator driven to create a positive impact on the health professional eco-system. Teaching a broad Health Science skilled subject, you will help define, guide and influence student’s professional direction. Other requirements include:

- Professional experience within health, disability,



community health, allied health, or closely related sectors.
- Experience applying professional practice knowledge to teaching and learning environments.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, coordinate, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate subjects.
- Experience teaching in a health-related discipline within a tertiary education workplace.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Evidence of scholarly activity and the ability to translate contemporary research into engaging and relevant teaching practices.
- A PhD in Health or a related discipline
