National Manager Policy - Workplace Relations & Business Regulation

Master Builders Australia is looking for a smart, motivated and curious person to join our national policy team.

This is an prospect to work at the intersection of government, business, economics, law and public policy, contributing to debates that affect one of Australia’s largest and most important industries.

Reporting to the National Director – Policy & Legal, the National Manager Policy you'll work across major policy issues affecting Australia's building and construction industry, including workplace relations and building regulation.

The National Manager is required to undertake research, prepare written policy content including submissions, briefing papers to Member Associations, and advocacy material and represent the organisation as directed by the National Director.

You’ll enjoy getting across complex issues, weighing competing arguments and developing practical solutions,



with the ability to communicate your thinking clearly and persuasively. As a strong writer, a quick learner and someone who is comfortable taking initiative you’ll enjoy contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.

The successful applicant should have, at a minimum, tertiary qualifications in law or business and show an interest in the key issues impacting the building and construction industry.

The role is based in Canberra.
