Starboard IT is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Technical Lead Consultant to join our collaborative Sydney team.

This customer-facing role combines hands-on technical expertise, consulting and leadership. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their business needs, design practical technology solutions and lead projects from planning through to successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

- Providing technical consultancy and support to clients
- Designing and implementing cloud and infrastructure solutions
- Leading technical projects and guiding team members
- Managing client, stakeholder and third-party vendor relationships
- Supporting pre-sales, scoping and solution design
- Improving internal systems, processes and security compliance

About you

- Five years' experience in IT, including technical consulting or leadership
- Strong Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID and Active Directory experience




- Knowledge of virtualisation, networking, security and cloud environments
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and customer service skills
- A collaborative mindset and genuine enthusiasm for technology
