Clinical Lead / Senior Women's Health Physiotherapist

We're hiring a senior women's health physiotherapist to join Papaya Clinic as a pathway to becoming our Clinical Lead. You'll work alongside our Clinical Director to develop our women's health services, lead quality assurance across the clinic, and shape how we deliver care from the moment a woman finds us through to discharge.

You'll be responsible for treating patients, and have dedicated time to mentor team members, refine systems and elevate patient experience across the entire journey. If leadership is your strength, this role grows with you.

This role sits at the intersection of clinical excellence and patient experience design. You'll treat well inside the treatment room, and you'll collaborate with the team to elevate every touchpoint of the patient journey. How we greet someone. How we structure sessions. How we communicate progress. How we hand over care. These are all part of what you'll help design and refine.

What we're looking for

A senior women's health physiotherapist with at least three years private practice experience. Have demonstrated dedication to progressive learning in clinical skills, either by completing WHTA Level 3 courses, or currently completing a postgraduate certificate or master's in pelvic health or equivalent.

You have a growth mindset and a creator mindset. You're hungry to build. You think laterally. You collaborate well. You enjoy the thoughtfulness in designing patient experience across the entire journey, inside the treatment room and well beyond it.

Papaya Clinic is an award winning clinic, and you will work directly with Winnie Wu, our clinical director, who won the Patients Choice Award for Outstanding Allied Health Professional (2026) and Mentor of the Year from the Australian Physiotherapy Association (2023). You will learn how to grow a community clinic sustainably, create win-wins for patients and teams, and build real community impact.

Cooperative health

Papaya has a strong belief in collaborative health for women. Several disciplines under one roof only becomes integrative care when there is structure behind it: shared protocols, protected time and a clear way to hand over. Our team spent the last two years building that intentionally.

It works because of four things:

- Evidence-based integrative protocols designed in-house for different life stages and categories of women's health concerns

- Clinicians who are open-minded and curious enough to ask the questions that identify their own knowledge gaps

- Clinicians who can teach another discipline what they do,

even when terminology and understanding of body systems start from different places

- Resources and structure that make cross-referral and handover clean, so the work of coordinating care never falls back on the woman in the middle of it

All of that is what makes longevity and preventative care possible, especially for women with chronic and complex conditions who have seen multiple professionals and still don't have answers.

Remuneration and structure

This role offers set wage remuneration structured around your responsibilities, and bonus structured around your performance and billables. The bonus structure is generous and above industry standard.

The interview process

We run two rounds. Round one is a conversation. We want to understand who you are, what drives your practice, and whether there's genuine alignment with how we work. We're open to exploring fit even if your background doesn't tick every box perfectly. Sometimes the best team members bring unexpected skills and perspectives that matter more than a perfect resume match.

Round two digs deeper into how you'd approach the role and the thinking behind your clinical practice.

Start date

We're hiring to expand our team. Start date is flexible and can work around your circumstances. Ideally before mid November 2026 or else, after Jan 2027.

About Papaya Clinic

Papaya is an integrative women's health clinic in Newtown. We bring together physiotherapy, naturopathy, acupuncture, psychology, clinical movement, and nutrition under one roof. Our philosophy is simple: women's health is complex, and it deserves a multidisciplinary approach. We treat the whole person. We design experiences. We build relationships. We believe that how we deliver care matters as much as what we deliver. Our team is collaborative, curious, and committed to the women we work with.
