ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a JJ’s Purchasing Officer, you will support our National Operations from the Underwood office.

You will be experienced, reliable and able to provide efficient day-to-day support to the team. Working in a energetic environment, you will have the ability to learn quickly, demonstrate a willingness to undertake any task at hand, and have excellent problem solving and time management skills.

We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.

Permanent, full-time Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Liaise with Workshop Managers/Supervisors to coordinate the timely delivery of parts for vehicles





Ensure that goods and services purchased are fit for purpose

Develop, recommend and implement purchasing strategies

Manage day-to-day purchasing of supplies and services

Monitor incorrect orders, ensure deposits are recovered and best value for money is achieved

Maintain appropriate stock levels and reduce unneeded stock

Keep the store in a logical and tidy manner

Processing of documentation accurately and efficiently within required timeframes

Answering telephones, responding to email enquiries

Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence ensuring timely responses, appropriate follow up, escalations and preparing outgoing correspondence as required

Ensure the highest standards of customer service are met

Facilitate flow of information

Other duties as requested

ABOUT YOU

Experience in a similar Purchasing Officer role

Able to work autonomously - with a positive and proactive approach

Experience in Transport / Logistics industry

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholders

Excellent data entry skills and an eye for detail

Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance
