Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per annum + super (dependent on experience)
Hours: 7:30am to 4pm (Mon to Thurs) 7:30am to 2pm (Fri)
Location: Wetherill Park, NSW

Candidates must be trade-qualified mechanical technicians with a strong background in tooling, maintenance, and fabrication. Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, you will provide critical technical support across production, maintain equipment reliability, and support tooling and die casting performance. What you need

- Trade qualification in Toolmaking, Fitting & Turning, Machining, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting, fabrication, and machining skills.
- Experience with tooling, dies, or die casting equipment (highly regarded).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance reports.
- Solid understanding of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and quality standards.

What you will be doing

- Maintaining, repairing, inspecting, and overhauling die casting equipment and tooling.
- Performing machining, polishing, fitting, and tooling modification work.
- Diagnosing machine breakdowns and performing preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Manufacturing, modifying, and maintaining tooling, jigs, fixtures, and production aids.
- Identifying opportunities to improve safety, workholding methods, and overall operational efficiency.
- Supporting automation initiatives, equipment upgrades, and new product introductions.
- Operating workshop machinery safely and reading technical specifications.
- Complying with all WHS policies and maintaining a safe, clean work area.
