As a Building Designer at SNL Building Construction, you'll play a key role in delivering projects from concept through to construction. Working closely with clients and our development, estimating and construction teams, you'll create practical, compliant and creative design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality and construction efficiency.

Building Designer - SNL Building Constructions

As a Building Designer at SNL Building Construction, you'll play a key role in delivering projects from concept through to construction. Working closely with clients and our development, estimating and construction teams, you'll create practical, compliant and innovative design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality and construction efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and document residential, commercial and industrial projects.

- Prepare concept, working and construction drawings using AutoCAD.





- Develop site-specific design solutions that respond to project constraints and opportunities.

- Coordinate and manage external consultants to ensure integrated project documentation.

- Collaborate with internal development, estimating and construction teams to deliver practical and cost-effective designs.

- Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards, planning controls and council requirements.

About You

You are more than a draftsperson. You understand how good design influences the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility and approvals through to construction and handover.

You enjoy problem-solving, working collaboratively and delivering high-quality documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Skills & Experience

- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture or Building Design.

- Experience in building design and drafting within an office environment.

- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.

- Sound knowledge of construction methods and detailing.

- Understanding of NCC, Australian Standards and planning controls, including LEP, DCP and CDC requirements.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
