Narangba Aged Care are currently looking for a Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team on a Full Time basis.

About the Position

The Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of the leisure and lifestyle program designed to promote and enable physical, intellectual, emotional, psychological, cultural and social wellbeing and independence of residents living at our facility. This is a leadership role requiring vision, creativity and a commitment to developing innovative programs that connect residents with each other and the broader community.

The successful candidate will lead a passionate Leisure and Lifestyle team, build meaningful partnerships with local organisations and develop experiences that promote purpose, independence, enjoyment and meaningful relationships. We are looking for someone who can think beyond the facility walls, challenge traditional approaches to lifestyle programming and create opportunities that enable our residents to live their best lives every day.

The Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator will also be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Coordinate the leisure and lifestyle staffing requirements in line with the agreed budget to ensure efficient and effective level of resident care and availability of appropriate activities for the range of residents in our care.
- Develop and deliver programs on a monthly basis in consultation with residents,



resident representatives, lifestyle staff, Facility Manager and Clinical Care Coordinator and delivered within the agreed budget allocation. The program should reflect innovative and meaningful opportunities that promote connection with the broader community and support residents to pursue their interests, goals and aspirations.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate Lifestyle Assessments and Care Plans with all residents and/or their representatives to enable the program to reflect the resident’s needs, goals and preferences.
- Monitor, review and contribute to quality of care and be an advocate of excellence in resident care and services.
- Provide leadership for the members of the Leisure & Lifestyle team in the provision of accurate assessment and reliable data relating to resident care as required.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local organisations, community groups and external providers to create meaningful opportunities and experiences for residents.
- Lead, support and inspire the Leisure and Lifestyle team to deliver a high-quality program that exceeds resident expectations.

If you have the following attributes, we want to meet you:





- Tertiary qualifications directly related to Diversional Therapy Health/Aged Care Industry or Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or equivalent.
- Proven competency in program development and delivering recreational activities, music and craft therapy in an aged care setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to inspire and support a team to deliver an engaging and innovative lifestyle program.
- Creative and forward-thinking approach to lifestyle programming, with the ability to identify opportunities to connect residents with the broader community.
- Experience developing relationships and partnerships with community organisations, service providers and other external stakeholders.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills and ability to foster effective relationships with staff, residents and resident representatives, external service providers and regulatory bodies.
- Computer literacy including the ability to learn to use Aged Care software.
