We’re looking for an experienced and hands‑on HR Generalist to join our team and support our growing business.

You’ll work closely with our HR Manager and leaders across the business, supporting everything from employee relations and industrial relations through to payroll, recruitment, performance management, onboarding and day-to-day HR operations

What you'll be doing

- Providing practical HR advice and support to managers and employees across a broad range of people matters
- Supporting employee relations and industrial relations matters, including performance, conduct, attendance, grievances and workplace concerns
- Supporting workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, performance improvement plans and formal HR meetings
- Providing guidance on employment contracts, policies, modern awards, the NES and Fair Work requirements




- Managing end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, screening, interviews, reference checks, offers and contracts
- Coordinating onboarding, probation reviews, employee changes and offboarding
- Preparing employment contracts, variations, promotion letters and other HR correspondence
- Processing Australian payroll and ensuring payroll is completed accurately and on time
- Processing salary changes, allowances, deductions, leave, terminations, KPI/incentive payments and other payroll adjustments
- Reviewing timesheets and payroll information and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate employee information within our HRIS and payroll systems
- Supporting performance reviews and employee development processes
- Assisting with HR policies, compliance, workers compensation and return-to-work matters
- Supporting employee engagement, wellbeing and recognition initiatives
- Contributing to HR projects and continuously looking for ways to improve our people processes and systems

About you

You’ll be someone who enjoys the variety that comes with a generalist HR role and is comfortable moving between an employee relations matter, a payroll deadline, recruitment and everyday employee questions.

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous experience as an HR Generalist,



HR Advisor or in a similar hands‑on HR role
- Experience managing or supporting employee relations and performance matters
- Good working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, the NES and up-to-date awards
- Hands‑on Australian payroll processing experience
- Experience across recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee lifecycle processes
- Confidence working with managers and providing practical HR advice
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with payroll and employee data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters appropriately
- Good judgement and an understanding of when a matter needs to be escalated
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Australian working rights

A qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business or a related field would be well regarded.

Experience using Rippling HRIS and/or Rippling Payroll would be a big advantage.
