Trainer & Assessor - Carpentry & Construction

About the role
Edutemps is seeking an experienced Carpentry & Construction Trainer and Assessor for a fly-in fly-out opportunity with an established education provider in Darwin.

Share your trade knowledge with students and apprentices, helping them develop practical skills and confidence for the construction industry. This prospect suits someone available to spend a minimum of two weeks on site, with flights, accommodation and car hire covered.

Your responsibilities

- Deliver practical and theory-based carpentry and construction training and assessment.
- Support students and apprentices with different learning needs and levels of experience.
- Develop and adapt training resources to support effective learning.
- Maintain accurate student records and complete training administration.
- Deliver training in line with relevant training package requirements and quality standards.




- Work with the teaching team and industry stakeholders to support student outcomes.

About you

- A trade qualification in Carpentry and relevant post-trade industry experience.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40116 or its successor.
- Experience delivering training in a workplace or education setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and relevant learning and administration systems.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A Certificate IV in Building and Construction and a First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain one, would be advantageous.

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory National Criminal History Check and a valid Northern Territory Working with Children clearance.
