As we continue our rapid growth journey, we're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Merchandise Planner to join our Planning & Projects team at our Sunshine Coast Head Office.

This is an exciting opportunity for a retail planning professional who enjoys turning data into action, influencing commercial decisions and driving sales, margin and inventory performance across a growing global retail business.

The Role

Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, the Merchandise Planner owns the end-to-end planning process across our jewellery and piercing categories.

Working closely with our Buying, Retail Operations, Ecommerce, Finance and Warehouse teams, you'll be responsible for merchandise financial planning, forecasting, inventory performance, assortment planning, Open-to-Buy (OTB) management and trade reporting.

This role is pivotal in ensuring we have the right products, in the right locations, at the right time, while delivering strong commercial outcomes and an exceptional customer experience.

What You'll Be Doing

- Own and maintain the Merchandise Financial Plan (WSSI), including sales, stock, intake, margin and markdown forecasts

- Manage Open-to-Buy budgets and reforecast performance across categories, channels and store clusters

- Develop sales and inventory forecasts for campaigns, new store openings and peak trading periods

- Partner with the Buying Team to develop option plans, assortment strategies, pricing architecture and category plans





- Analyse product and category performance to identify opportunities that improve range productivity and support future buying decisions

- Manage stock plans across retail and ecommerce, supporting allocation and replenishment strategies to maximise availability and minimise inventory risk

- Monitor key performance indicators, including stock cover, inventory turn, sell-through, aged stock, sales and margin

- Produce weekly and monthly trade reporting, translating data into clear commercial insights and practical recommendations

- Reforecast performance and recommend actions to improve stock health, trading outcomes and achievement against plan

- Maintain accurate product, inventory and planning data across merchandising systems

- Support improvements to merchandise planning processes, reporting capabilities and system efficiencies

- Collaborate with Buying, Retail Operations, Ecommerce, Finance and Warehouse teams to support effective commercial decision-making

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a commercially minded planner who enjoys working with data, solving problems and influencing business performance.

You’ll ideally bring:

- 2-4 years' experience in merchandise planning, inventory planning, allocation planning or retail planning roles

- Strong experience with forecasting, WSSI, OTB management and inventory analysis

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

- A strong understanding of retail sales, margin, stock and inventory drivers

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities

- Solid organisational and time management skills

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

- The ability to communicate insights and recommendations with confidence





- A collaborative approach and ability to build strong cross-functional relationships

Highly Regarded

- Experience within jewellery, accessories, fashion, beauty or lifestyle retail

- Experience in a multi-site retail environment

- Exposure to ecommerce inventory planning and channel management

- Experience using ERP, POS or merchandise planning systems, particularly NetSuite and/or Lightspeed

- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Analytics, Supply Chain or a related discipline
