PARTS INTERPRETER - INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT

$85K-$90K + SUPER + 17.5% ANNUAL LEAVE LOADING

THE OPPORTUNITY

Join a well-established global industrial engineering organisation supplying specialised equipment, replacement parts and aftermarket support across a range of demanding commercial and industrial sectors.

The business is seeking an experienced Parts Interpreter to support internal teams and external customers from its Brisbane operation.

This is a customer-facing role responsible for identifying parts, preparing quotations, processing orders and coordinating supply and delivery. You will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal technical teams to ensure parts requirements are handled accurately and efficiently.

YOUR ROLE

You will manage customer parts enquiries from initial identification and quotation through to ordering, invoicing and delivery.

- Identify replacement parts using electronic catalogues, technical documents and supplier resources
- Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email and in person
- Prepare accurate parts and service-related quotations
- Process sales orders from quotation through to invoicing
- Coordinate purchasing, freight and delivery requirements
- Monitor backorders and provide customers with regular updates
- Maintain accurate customer, pricing, sales and order information
- Liaise with suppliers, service teams and technical departments




- Escalate complex technical enquiries when required
- Build positive relationships with internal and external customers
- Identify opportunities to promote additional parts and aftermarket services
- Follow company quality, safety and compliance procedures

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter or within parts, inventory, logistics or aftermarket support
- Experience within industrial equipment, automotive, marine, mechanical or heavy machinery environments
- Ability to identify parts using catalogues, diagrams and technical documentation
- Basic mechanical knowledge and an understanding of equipment components
- Experience preparing quotations and processing customer orders
- Solid customer service and professional communication skills
- Confidence using ERP, inventory or order-management systems
- Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach

A relevant trade qualification, Parts Interpreting qualification or equivalent hands-on industry experience will be highly regarded.
