Gladstone Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join Ward 1 (Medical & Surgical) on a contract basis. This is a short-term opportunity starting as soon as possible, running through to 27 September 2026. Based in Gladstone, Queensland, the role offers a competitive remuneration package of AUD$57.62 to AUD$73.04 per hour, providing an ideal opportunity to gain experience in a busy medical and surgical workplace.

- Work across a dedicated medical and surgical ward with diverse patient presentations

Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA




- Experience in medical and surgical nursing, or demonstrated readiness to work across both specialties
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and reliability in a contract role environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Post-graduate qualifications or certifications in medical or surgical nursing are advantageous
