Payroll Project Specialist

Roster: 3-month casual duration with potential for extension | Working Monday to Friday in office, 38-hour week

Location: Milton, QLD

Duties & Responsibilities

- Contribute to maintaining a respectful workplace for all employees
- Maintain a high customer service focus with both internal and external stakeholders
- Support the rollout, and testing of new payroll software
- Assist in data migration, validation, and go-live activitiesProvide support on payroll project delivery
- Identify inefficiencies, document standard operating procedures, and standardise workflows across Payroll platform
- Ensure compliance industrial instruments and relevant payroll legislation
- Continually review and recommend processes automations to increase efficiencies
- Be the change champion

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in a large multi-site and multi agreement payroll environment




- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various levels within the organisation
- Strong understanding of payroll operations, legislation, compliance and governance.
- Experience across HRIS/payroll systems analysis, business process improvement and project delivery.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a complex operational workplace.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
- Payroll systems knowledge such as Preceda, Kronos preferred
