Physiotherapist – Aged Care (Wallsend NSW)

Full Time | Monday–Friday | Modern Facility | Supportive Team

A wonderful opportunity exists for a Physiotherapist to join our team at a well‑appointed and highly regarded residential aged‑care home in Wallsend, Newcastle NSW .

You will manage a varied caseload, helping residents stay active, mobile, and as pain‑free as possible through evidence‑based physiotherapy and restorative programs.

Hours & Days

- Full time – 40 hours per week

- Monday to Friday

Duties & Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised care plans

- Implement wellness, reablement, and restorative programs

- Deliver exercise plans and falls‑prevention strategies

- Prescribe mobility aids and functional equipment

- Participate in professional development and staff education

- Conduct seated group exercise classes

- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Skills & Experience

- Experience in aged care advantageous (new graduates welcome and supported)

- Solid clinical reasoning and decision‑making

- Confident with exercise prescription

- Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team





- Familiar with manual handling equipment

- Computer literate with good documentation skills

- A likeable personality and strong work ethic

- Recognised Physiotherapy qualification and current AHPRA registration

- Current police clearance
