About the Role

This is an opportunity to join our growing team as a Coach Captain , operating our modern coaches on long-distance passenger services between Bundaberg and Mackay .

The service will operate on a two-day schedule , Driving through the night and resting during the day:

- Day 1: Bundaberg → Mackay, approximately 9:30pm – 6:30am

- Rest Accom Provided Between Shifts: Mackay

- Day 2: Mackay → Bundaberg, approximately 9:45pm – 4:45am

Positions are available on fixed runs or rotating schedules , with flexibility required to accommodate service requirements. The service runs 365 days a year.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Safely operating coaches between Bundaberg and Mackay

- Completing scheduled services in a professional and timely manner

- Providing friendly and qualified customer service to passengers

- Conducting pre-start and post-trip vehicle checks

- Maintaining a high standard of safety and vehicle presentation





- Customer onboarding/disembarking procedures

- Basic IT operation of Logmaster and service apps

- Assisting passengers where required

- Following all relevant road transport, fatigue management and safety requirements

- Maintaining accurate trip and operational records

- Representing Bundaberg Coaches in a professional manner at all times

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Holds a minimum HR Licence

- Holds a QLD Driver’s Authority / Endorsement , or is willing to obtain one

- Has an excellent driving history and strong commitment to road safety

- Is reliable, punctual and professional

- Has strong communication and customer service skills

- Is committed to fatigue management and fitness for duty

- Can work independently while also being part of a team

- Is comfortable with night driving

- Is flexible and available to work the required roster

- Takes pride in providing passengers with a safe and enjoyable travel experience

- Previous coach or passenger transport experience is highly desirable
