About the role

You will support the finance function in preparing financial reports, analysing business performance and monitoring operational costs. The role works closely with finance and operational teams to ensure financial information is accurate, identify cost trends and opportunities for improvement, and provide meaningful financial insights to support the Company's business operations.

Key responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports, financial statements and management accounts

Prepare other financial analysis, ensuring information is accurate and delivered within required timeframes

Monitor and analyse operational costs across areas such as transportation, warehousing, labour and suppliers

Identify cost trends and variances and flag opportunities to improve cost efficiency and support effective financial decision-making

Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial models

Analyse actual results against budgets and forecasts, investigating significant variances with relevant departments

Assist with account reconciliations, transaction reviews and financial data validation,



ensuring accounting records are complete, accurate and consistent across relevant systems

Work closely with operations, procurement and other business teams to understand operational costs and provide financial analysis and recommendations

Support the evaluation of business initiatives from a financial and cost-effectiveness perspective

Assist with improving financial reporting processes, internal controls and accounting procedures, ensure financial activities comply with Company policies and applicable accounting requirements

Perform other duties as reasonably required by your line manager

About you

Previous experience in financial analysis, management accounting or a similar analytical finance role

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and management accounting practices.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and identify cost trends, variances and improvement opportunities.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience working with financial data, spreadsheets, reports and financial models.

Robust attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet reporting deadlines.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance teams.

Commercial awareness and an ability to understand business operations from a financial and cost-efficiency perspective.

Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
