About the Role:

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Grounds Team Leader to manage our grounds maintenance team at our Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park site. The successful applicant will lead a skilled team, drive exceptional grounds maintenance outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of WHS and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise grounds maintenance team (approx 4-6 employees)
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and the community
- Ensure Work Health and Safety (WHS) compliance and high standards of workmanship
- Provide training and support to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
- Manage budgets and resources to achieve efficient outcomes
- Promote a culture of sustainability and positivity in the workplace
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety across the cemetery grounds




- Operate a range of tools and equipment as required
- Assist with burials and cremations teams as needed
- Perform administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the team

What we are looking for:

- Leadership experience managing small teams, preferably in grounds maintenance
- Current Driver's License and White Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and problem-solving approach
- High level of integrity and professionalism
