We’re seeking a Planning and Scheduling Coordinator to manage the day-to-day scheduling and administration of practical training for the Qantas Engineering Academy (QEA) . This role is essential to ensuring apprentice training schedules, facilities, instructors, equipment and shared training resources are coordinated effectively to support high-quality program delivery.

Working closely with the QEA Practical Training Manager, Planning and Scheduling Manager and other key stakeholders, you will coordinate and maintain practical training schedules, manage resource allocations and address scheduling conflicts. You will also track student and cohort progress, identify students who may be at risk and deliver accurate reports to support operational and executive decision-making.

If you have experience in scheduling or project coordination within a high-demand environment, combined with robust organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, we’d love to hear from you. Experience in the education, aviation, technology or digital delivery sectors will be highly regarded.

Is this role for you?

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high demand schedulingor project coordinationrole(essential),with prior exposure to the education or aviationsectorsconsideredhighlydesirable.

Experience utilising records and document management systems, particularly scheduling focused.

Demonstratedproficiencyin Microsoft Office programs, including advancedexpertisein Excel for resourcelogisticsplanning and scheduling.

Experience within technology or digital delivery environment isadvantageous.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)



and the ability to manage multiple tasks,prioritise effectively, andmeet agreed deadlines.

Ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations, policies and procedures and exercise judgement or seek managementassistancein the interpretation of same.

Well-developed problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive issues andmaintainconfidentiality.

Preparedness to undertake training asrequired.
