Tara Anglican School for Girls is seeking a passionate and engaging Social Sciences Teacher to join our Secondary School team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an educator with expertise in Geography and the flexibility to teach additional subjects within the Social Sciences faculty. As a school offering both the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), Tara provides an intellectually stimulating environment in which students and teachers thrive.

About the Role

Teach Geography across a range of year levels, including senior secondary courses.

Contribute to the delivery of Stage 4 and Stage 5 Humanities and Social Sciences programs.

Teach one or more additional Social Sciences subjects, which may include Business Studies, Legal Studies, Economics, Commerce, or other related disciplines, depending on qualifications and experience.

Develop engaging learning experiences that foster inquiry, critical thinking,



and global awareness.

Support students to understand the complex relationships between people, environments, institutions, and societies.

Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum design, assessment practices, and student outcomes.

Participate actively in the pastoral and co-curricular life of the School.

About You

You will be:

A qualified teacher with NESA accreditation (or eligibility for accreditation) in NSW.

Experienced in teaching Geography, with the capacity to teach senior Geography courses.

Qualified to teach one or more additional Social Sciences subjects such as Business Studies, Legal Studies, Economics, or Commerce.

Passionate about helping students connect classroom learning to contemporary local, national, and global issues.

A collaborative and reflective educator committed to continuous qualified growth.

An excellent communicator who builds positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
