We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter & Turner to join our Workshop Team in Acacia Ridge, QLD. In this hands‑on role, you will maintain, repair and overhaul a range of rotating and fixed plant equipment, both in our workshop and at customer sites. You must be willing and able to undertake site‑based work as required across the greater Southeast Queensland area. A company vehicle & fuel card will be provided.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Maintain, repair and overhaul pumps, shafts, mechanical seals and other rotating equipment.
- Assembly new components including driveshafts and air brakes.
- Use workshop equipment including balances, presses, lathes, mills.
- Replace bearings and mechanical seals, complete pump alignments, and undertake other tasks as allocated by the Supervisor.
- Prioritise the safety of people, plant and the workplace in all work activities.
- Identify and communicate hazards, equipment issues and faults to support smooth operations.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Who are you?

- Demonstrated experience working as a Fitter & Turner in a heavy industrial environment is essential.
- Experience with Pumps, Mechanical Seals and Other Rotating Equipment is important.
- Flexible and adaptable as the business requires, and able to work under Minimal Supervision.
- Computer literate: Intermediate level using MS office and email.
- Knowledge of mechanical seals,



Shaft Laser Alignments and condition monitoring advantageous.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter & Turner or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Current relevant licences, tickets or certifications, such as forklift, confined space, working at heights or EWP.
