AUTO ELECTRICIAN - EXPERIENCED OR NON- QUALIFIED WELCOME

Starworx Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced automotive electrical technician or auto electrician to join our team in Ravenhall, VIC. This is a full-time position working 4 days a week 6.30am to 4.30pm . You don't necessarily need a formal trade certificate — we're interested in someone who has genuine hands‑on experience and knows their way around automotive electrical systems. You will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing electrical systems in various road vehicles, ensuring our clients receive high-quality workmanship and reliable service.

What you'll be doing

- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles using diagnostic equipment and technical expertise.
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems including batteries, alternators, starters, wiring harnesses and lighting systems
- Test electrical components and systems to ensure they meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Perform routine electrical maintenance and inspections on customer vehicles
- Document work completed, including parts used and labour time, for customer invoicing
- Maintain workshop safety standards and keep work areas clean and organised
- Communicate with workshop management and customers regarding repair requirements and progress
- Stay current with new vehicle electrical technologies and repair techniques

What we're looking for

- Practical experience with automotive electrical work
- Proven experience as an Auto Electrician,



preferably in a workshop setting
- Experience with wiring, accessories, lighting, batteries, starters/alternators and electrical components
- Proficiency with diagnostic and testing equipment specific to automotive electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and wiring diagrams and use multimeter/test equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and fault finding with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- A commitment to safety and following workplace health and safety regulations
- Valid driver's licence
- A trade qualification is preferred but not essential for the right person with proven experience
