An established food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced dual-trade Maintenance Technician to join its permanent night-shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically and mechanically qualified tradesperson looking for a stable roster, highly competitive earnings and varied work across modern, fast-paced production equipment.

What’s on offer

- Base rate of $55–$65 per hour , depending on experience
- 30% night-shift loading
- Potential loaded rate of up to $84.50 per hour
- Permanent Sunday-to-Thursday roster
- Hours of 11:00 pm–7:00 am

- Broad exposure to electrical, mechanical and automated equipment
- Supportive maintenance and production teams

The role

Working as part of the site maintenance team, you will help maintain production reliability and minimise downtime across the facility.

- Electrical and mechanical fault‑finding
- Planned and preventative maintenance
- Responding to breakdowns and production issues
- Maintaining conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps and production machinery




- Troubleshooting sensors, control systems and automated equipment
- Supporting continuous‑improvement and reliability initiatives
- Completing maintenance records and communicating equipment issues
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures

About you

- Recognised electrical and mechanical trade qualifications
- A current NSW electrical licence
- Previous maintenance experience within food, beverage, FMCG, packaging or another high-volume manufacturing setting
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills
- Experience working with automated production and conveyor systems
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance
- The ability to work independently on permanent night shift
- Strong safety awareness and communication skills

Experience with PLC fault‑finding, pneumatics, hydraulics and high-speed packaging equipment would be highly regarded.
