Financial Crime Analyst | Banking | Open to all types of experience

$450pd + super | Contract to 31 March 2027 | Immediate Start

We've partnered with a leading international bank to recruit Financial Crime Analysts to join a specialist investigations team responsible for identifying, investigating and escalating suspicious matters to AUSTRAC.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with Financial Crime, AML/CTF, Fraud, Banking, Remediation or Risk experience , as well as candidates from other relevant backgrounds who have solid investigative and analytical skills and a genuine interest in developing a career in financial crime.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Investigating unusual matters escalated from Fraud Operations
- Reviewing customer profiles and account activity
- Analysing transaction patterns and financial crime risks
- Identifying fraud and AML/CTF red flags
- Preparing high-quality Grounds for Suspicion (GFS) narratives
- Drafting SMRs for review and potential submission to AUSTRAC




- Providing clear rationale where matters are not deemed suspicious

What We're Looking For:

- Previous experience in Banking, Financial Crime, AML/CTF, Fraud, Remediation, Risk or a related investigative environment
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to assess information criticallyExcellent attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work through complex information and make well-reasoned decisions

The Opportunity:

- $450pd + super
- Sydney CBD
- Hybrid working arrangement (3 days in office once trained)
- Contracts through to 31 March 2027
- Full-time Monday to Friday business hours
