About the Position

The Project Officer (Sydney Campus) provides high-level executive, administrative, and project coordination support. The role works closely with the Associate Vice-Chancellor and other key stakeholders within Charles Darwin University to present a professional face for NSW based activities by ensuring projects, events, and operational activities are delivered efficiently and in line with university objectives. Acting as a central coordination point, the position contributes to stakeholder engagement, business process improvement, compliance, and the delivery of a positive and productive campus environment. We are looking for someone passionate about customer service, who is organised, creative, and a strong communicator. This is a highly dynamic role working with multiple teams, so flexibility and enthusiasm for relationship building are a must.

About You

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

- Completion of a degree-level qualification with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in administration,operations, project support or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience providing high-quality executive and administrative support, including coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, managing competing priorities and maintaining confidential information.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience supporting projects, events or operational initiatives,



including maintaining documentation, coordinating activities and tracking progress against timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and provide outstanding customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement improvements to administrative processes, systems or service delivery practices.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating initiative, flexibility and a solutions-focused approach.
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and experience working with business systems, databases and record management systems.
- Experience working in the higher education sector or another large, complex and highly regulated organisation.

Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid local Working with Children clearance

Remuneration

Appointment to this role will be at Qualified Employee Level 5. The base salary will be in the range of $75,927 - $87,716 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $88,834 - $102,627 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
