Atlas Golf Services is looking for an experienced Golf Course Shaper / Earthmover to join our specialist golf course construction team in South East Melbourne.

We work on major golf course construction and redevelopment projects, delivering high-quality shaping and earthworks from initial bulk earthworks through to detailed final trim.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to shape golf courses — someone who understands contours, levels, drainage and how to turn a design into the finished product.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to shape golf courses — someone who understands contours, levels, drainage and how to turn a design into the finished product.

The Work

You’ll be involved in shaping and finishing:

- Greens and green surrounds
- Tees
- Bunkers
- Fairways
- Mounding and landforms
- Drainage and tie-ins
- General golf course earthworks and finishing

You’ll work with excavators, dozers and other earthmoving equipment,



with GPS machine control and digital models forming an important part of the work.

We’re Looking For

Ideally, you’ll have:

- Proven experience in golf course construction and shaping
- Strong excavator and/or dozer operating skills
- Experience with GPS machine control
- Final trim and detailed shaping experience
- The ability to read plans, levels and digital models
- A good eye for contours, transitions and finished form
- The ability to work from a design while also making practical decisions in the field
- High standards for quality and finish
- A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a specialist team

Golf course shaping experience is highly regarded. Experienced earthmovers/GPS operators with strong final-trim and earthworks experience will also be considered.

The Chance

This is a specialist golf course construction role, not general civil earthworks.

You’ll be working on major golf course project in Melbourne, with the opportunity to be involved in projects from the early earthworks and shaping stages through to detailed finishing.
