As Risk & Compliance Coordinator, you will lead and support compliance activities across a broad range of operational and regulatory areas. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the Club operates in full compliance with all Queensland and Commonwealth legislative obligations, licence conditions, and regulatory requirements applicable to community-based licensed clubs. Working closely with the executive team and senior leaders, you will play a critical role in protecting the Club's licences, reputation, and strong standing within the community.

Key responsibilities

- Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and licence conditions
- Monitor, review and maintain liquor and gaming compliance frameworks and controls
- Coordinate AML/CTF obligations, including reporting requirements, monitoring activities, and staff awareness programs
- Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of governance frameworks, policies and procedures
- Lead compliance audits, risk assessments, reviews and corrective action plans
- Assist with incident management, investigations and interactions with regulatory authorities
- Develop,



coordinate and deliver compliance training across all departmentsPrepare compliance reports and provide expert advice to senior management on emerging risks and regulatory requirements
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity and continuous improvement throughout the Club

About you

- Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland liquor and gaming legislation
- Experience in compliance, governance, risk management or regulatory environments, preferably within clubs, hospitality or highly regulated industries
- Understanding of AML/CTF obligations and compliance requirements, or a strong willingness to develop expertise in this area
- Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach to managing competing priorities
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation
- The ability to work autonomously while building strong collaborative relationships across departments
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
