We are looking for an experienced and reliable Construction Leading Hand / Foreman to join our team for ongoing work across multiple project locations throughout Sydney.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who has strong construction experience, can lead a crew, coordinate site activities and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

THE ROLE
As a Leading Hand / Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day site activities and coordinating construction crews across a range of projects, including:
- Supervising and coordinating construction crews
- Planning and coordinating daily site activities
- Pipework, machinery and steelwork installation
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
- Coordinating trades, labourers and subcontractors
- Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard
- Monitoring quality and progress of works
- Providing direction and support to site personnel
- Liaising with Project Managers and client representatives
- Ensuring site safety requirements and procedures are followed
- Identifying and resolving day‑to‑day site issues
- Assisting with confined space work where required
- Completing site documentation, pre‑starts and daily records
- Working across various project locations throughout Sydney
- Working in physically demanding and industrial environments
- Limited overtime available
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand,
Foreman or Senior Tradesperson – Essential
- White Card – Essential
- Current Driver's Licence
- Own reliable vehicle – Essential.
- Strong construction and site‑based experience
- Experience supervising and coordinating construction crews
- Experience with pipework and/or steelwork installation
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Good understanding of construction processes and sequencing
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on site
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Confined Space Ticket – highly regarded
- Working at Heights – highly regarded
- First Aid – highly regarded
- Previous experience working on wastewater and/or water infrastructure projects – highly regarded
- Ability to work in physically demanding and dirty environments
- Reliable attitude and strong work ethic
- Must have full working rights to work in Australia
