Role Description The Sales Account Manager is a full-time role based in the Melbourne with a hybrid work arrangement, combining in office client visits with some work from home. Edunet's Headquarters is in Mornington where a reasonable amount of time is required in the office . The role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of school accounts, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Day-to-day tasks include identifying new opportunities within existing and prospective school clients, conducting needs assessments, preparing proposals and quotes, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions and support. The Sales Account Manager will regularly follow up on leads, run product and solution presentations, maintain accurate account and pipeline records in CRM systems, and collaborate with vendor partners to maximize value for customers.
This role contributes directly to revenue growth while helping schools implement effective, sustainable technology strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in ICT, technology, or managed services sales , with a strong understanding of hardware, software, cloud, networking, and education technology solutions.
- Demonstrated success in account management , including stakeholder engagement, customer retention, contract renewals, and revenue growth.
- Strong track record in business development , lead generation, opportunity qualification, and pipeline management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical and commercial solutions to executives, school leadership teams, and key decision-makers.
- Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles, including solution selling, proposal development, negotiation, and closing opportunities.
- Customer-centric approach with a proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft 365, and sales forecasting/reporting tools.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands, and effectively manage a defined sales territory.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Greater Melbourne Area and attend customer meetings, events, and industry functions as required.
- Relevant qualification in Business, Sales, Information Technology, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in ICT, technology, telecommunications, managed services, or education technology sales.
- Strong knowledge of ICT solutions and the ability to discuss technical concepts confidently with customers.
- Demonstrated achievement against sales targets and revenue growth objectives.
