Site Supervisor – Residential Construction

About the role

NEVALS is a small to medium-sized residential builder seeking an experienced, hands-on Site Supervisor to join our team in SEQ.

This is a full-time role overseeing the delivery of quality residential projects from pre-start through to completion. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of construction activities on site , ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality and safety .

We are particularly interested in candidates who have come through the trade, preferably a qualified carpenter with strong practical carpentry and residential construction experience , and who have progressed into a site supervision role.

What you'll be doing

- Supervise residential construction projects from pre-start through to completion
- Be hands-on and actively involved on site, overseeing daily construction activities, trades and subcontractors
- Coordinate trades, construction sequencing and site logistics to keep projects on program
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality, workmanship and WHS standards are maintained
- Review plans, specifications and construction details and resolve issues on site
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications and relevant building requirements
- Manage subcontractors, provide clear direction and maintain a productive site environment
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve delays or construction issues
- Coordinate materials,



deliveries and procurement requirements
- Assist with budgets, variations, cost control and project documentation
- Liaise with consultants, suppliers, clients and management as required
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and documentation
- Work closely with the NEVALS construction team to ensure projects are delivered to the required standard

What we're looking for

- 5+ years' experience in residential construction
- Qualified Carpenter / trade background strongly preferred
- Strong practical carpentry and construction experience , with a sound understanding of how residential projects are built
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreman or Construction Supervisor
- Proven ability to manage trades, subcontractors and construction sequencing
- Strong understanding of residential construction methodologies, quality control and workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of construction standards, building requirements and WHS
- Proven ability to keep projects on program and proactively manage issues
- Excellent organisational and communication skills




- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently, make decisions and take ownership of projects
- Relevant construction qualifications; Carpentry qualification preferred
- QBCC experience/licensing would be advantageous
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between project sites across SEQ
