About the role

Holcim is currently looking for a qualified Electrician to fill the statutory role of Electrical trades person for our plant located at Albion Park Quarry, NSW. This position involves a mix of technical electrical work, preventative maintenance, and site-wide support. Here is your opportunity to step into a role where you can grow and develop with the world leading sustainable building materials company. As well as installation, and maintenance the role includes breakdown support for the crushing plant and can be fast-paced and will require you to be a strong problem solver, process-driven, with a high level of attention to detail. Normal start time is 2:00pm with a shift loading allowance, with occasional work on a Saturday as operational needs require.

Duties and responsibilities

- Promoting and enforcing safety and environmental processes and protocols to meet performance outcomes.
- Execute electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, and prompt response to breakdowns or assistance with incidents.
- Ensure all electrical work strictly adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements.




- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of all quarry electrical plant and infrastructure.
- Provide supervision and support to electrical contractors working on site
- Basic administration and recording of maintenance tasks on a variety of computer software applications (training provided).

Requirements

- Essential: You must hold a current Electrical Supervisor Certificate authorising you to perform electrical work in NSW.
- Essential: You must have a valid driver's licence
- Essential: You must have experience in and a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems as well as industrial installation and work practices.
- Experience in the mining industry and an understanding of mining legislation would be advantageous.
