The Human Resource (HR) Consultant is responsible for providing expert HR advice and support to the HR Services team, management and staff across the QAS, on all aspects of human resource management including recruitment and selection, HR policy, administration of employee and workforce information, employment conditions, workforce planning, training and case management.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:

- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of contemporary HR legislation, principles and practices and the proven ability to apply that knowledge to resolve complex human resource management issues.
- Well-developed conceptual, problem solving, and analytical skills including the proven ability to analyse and interpret information and/or data to identify and escape issues as required.
- Proven experience in the development, implementation,



and review of a range of HR related policies and procedures that support organisational objectives and the provision of best practice HR management services.
- Demonstrated experience in providing advisory and consultancy services to management and staff on a wide range of complex human resource management issues,
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships, liaise effectively and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

- Whilst not mandatory, the possession of tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in human resources will be highly regarded.
