Your role:

If you're an experienced group facilitator who enjoys creating engaging conversations, challenging thinking and helping people see things differently, this is an opportunity to take your skills somewhere different.

Tuning Into Respectful Relationships (TiRR) is a short, psychoeducational group program delivered to people in Victorian correctional facilities, including those on remand and serving short sentences.

You will facilitate structured groups that explore respectful relationships, attitudes and behaviours, communication and the links between disrespect and violence. The program gives participants practical knowledge and skills to help them understand, maintain and improve their relationships.

You are a confident and engaging group facilitator who knows how to bring a group with you. You understand that effective facilitation isn't simply standing in front of a room and delivering content. It's about reading the room, creating participation, asking the right questions, managing different perspectives and helping people engage with ideas that may challenge their existing attitudes and behaviours.

Use a strengths-based, solutions-focused approach to create a secure and respectful learning environment where participants can engage with challenging topics, reflect on their own experiences and consider different ways of relating to others.

What are we looking for:





- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related behavioural science discipline.
- Demonstrated experience and confidence in group facilitation.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to engage participants with different experiences, perspectives and learning needs.
- Experience or knowledge in family violence, respectful relationships or behaviour change.
- A genuine interest in working with people within the corrections system.
- The ability to facilitate structured content while responding appropriately to the dynamics of the group.
- The flexibility and willingness to travel across metropolitan and regional Victoria, including regular overnight stays.
- Corrections experience is valued but not essential.

Make it work:

- A salary at SCHCADS level 5 which equates to around $105,557 plus super.
- Choose a full time or part time 0.8, 4 days per week role.
- Travel across Victoria with overnight accommodation required where the program schedule demands it. Travel is in pool cars.
- Group size varies between 2 and 12 and groups usually run for 4 -5 hours.
- All groups are co-facilitated and we run approximately 34 groups per quarter.
