We work with a range of residential and commercial air-conditioning systems, including split, multi-split and ducted systems, and are committed to delivering reliable, high-quality and energy-productive air-conditioning solutions.

Due to ongoing business requirements, we are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis. About the Role

The successful applicant will install, commission, service, maintain, diagnose and repair residential and commercial air-conditioning and associated refrigeration systems. The position is based in Holsworthy, NSW, with regular travel to residential and commercial customer sites across Greater Sydney and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, wiring diagrams, service manuals and manufacturer specifications.
- Install, commission, service, maintain and repair residential and commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Install split-system, multi-split and ducted air-conditioning systems.
- Determine suitable locations for system components and install indoor and outdoor units and associated equipment.
- Assemble and install refrigerant pipework, tubing, fittings, valves, drainage systems and ductwork.
- Braze pipework and conduct pressure testing and leak detection.
- Install, service, repair and replace compressors, condensers,



evaporators, fans, motors, pumps and associated components.
- Charge, evacuate and recover refrigerants in accordance with applicable licensing and environmental requirements.
- Commission and test systems to ensure correct operation and performance.
- Test and calibrate thermostats, sensors, electrical controls and temperature-control equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, control and refrigerant-related faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Repair or replace defective components and equipment.
- Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance and routine system inspections.
- Inspect systems for refrigerant leaks, airflow problems, abnormal noise and operating inefficiencies.
- Clean and service filters, coils, condensers, evaporators, drains and associated components.
- Attend customer sites to diagnose and repair system breakdowns.
- Test completed installations and repairs to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards and refrigerant handling records.
- Identify replacement parts and materials required for servicing and repairs.
- Comply with work health and safety, refrigerant handling, environmental and company requirements.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, applicants should have:

- AQF Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, or an equivalent recognised trade qualification.




- Minimum three years of relevant post-qualification experience in air-conditioning and refrigeration installation, servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Demonstrated experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical and control-system faults.
- Experience installing, servicing and repairing split-system, multi-split and ducted air-conditioning systems.
- Experience with residential and commercial air-conditioning systems.
- Practical experience with refrigerant pipework, brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, refrigerant charging and leak detection.
- Experience servicing and repairing compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, motors and associated components.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian standards, manufacturer specifications and safe work practices.
- Appropriate Refrigerant Handling Licence and any other licences or registrations legally required to perform the duties of the position.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and attend customer sites for installations, servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- Good communication and customer service skills.

Experience working with major air-conditioning brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Fujitsu and Hitachi will be highly regarded. Salary and Employment Conditions Base salary: $105,000–$115,000 per annum + superannuation. The final salary within this range will depend on the successful applicant’s qualifications, licences, skills and relevant experience.

Applicable overtime and other employment entitlements will be provided in accordance with the applicable employment arrangements and Australian workplace laws. This is a full-time, ongoing position. Work Location Holsworthy, NSW 2173

The employee will also be required to travel to residential and commercial customer sites across Greater Sydney and surrounding areas as part of their normal duties.
