Programme Manager - Fixed Term, Full time

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the planning, programme management and delivery of the Ministry's Anti Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) programme. This is a dynamic, fast paced role suited to someone who thrives in complexity and is confident managing multi-faceted workstreams and diverse stakeholders.

This is a fixed term opportunity through to 25 June 2027. You will be responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of the work programme – from strategic planning and governance to risk management and reporting. You will ensure successful delivery against tight timeframes and policy objectives.

In This Role, You Will Be

- leading complex work programme planning and performance reporting in the public sector
- driving delivery across complex workstreams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient use of resourcesDesigning and supporting effective governance structures to enable high-quality decision-making and oversightBuilding strong working relationships within teams and across wider groups of stakeholders.

Ō Pūkenga/Skills And Experience

- proven experience in managing large-scale, complex programmes—preferably within a public policy or government environment




- a relevant qualification in programme/project management or equivalent experience
- a strong understanding of public sector systems, processes, and accountabilities
- a collaborative, inclusive, and politically astute approach to relationship management.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The appointing salary for this role will be between $130,129 and $168,062 based on skills and experience.
