Located in the leafy streets of Darlinghurst, Vin-Cenzo’s has quickly earned a reputation as one of Sydney’s favourite neighbourhood Italian restaurants, recently earning two-hats from the Good Food Guide. With a focus on old school hospitality underpinning a frequently rotating seasonal menu, we are now on the lookout for a Venue Manager to take the reins of one of Sydney's most exciting openings from 2025.

TheVenue

Vin-Cenzo's has built upon a storied past (the site was previously the home of Tre Scalini and Bar Vincent, both beloved Sydney institutions) serving beautiful Italian cuisine, handmade pasta with a focus on the best local produce, and a diverse and Italian leaning wine list. The dining room is moody, with the glow of candle light creating intimacy and warmth, but it is our genuine hospitality that lays the foundation, looking to elevate any moment for both our regulars and first comers.

The Group

The Goodies is a growing hospitality group founded by Nathan & Sali Sasi and Morgan McGlone, known for their commitment to thoughtful food, generous, warm service, and neighbourhood-driven hospitality. With our latest venue La Buvette having tremendous success, we are looking for excellent people and leaders to come and join The Goodies. Current venues include:

- Bar Copains (Surry Hills): A one-hatted, friendly neighbourhood wine bar.
- Bessies (Surry Hills): A one-hatted, Mediterranean wood fire restaurant.
- Alma's (Surry Hills): A cocktail bar within Bessies.
- Vin-Cenzo's (Darlinghurst): A two-hatted, European - Italian leaning restaurant.
- La Buvette (Potts Point): Our newest venue, inspired by the intimate lived in wine bars of Paris

The Role

As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for driving the day to day operations of the venue,



both leading service and developing your team to further build on the great foundations already laid. You will be responsible for the overall performance of the venue, always underpinned by an unwavering commitment to exceptional hospitality.

You won’t be building from scratch, you’ll be inheriting a well-oiled machine. Our current team is a collective of industry professionals who appreciate and excel at the craft of restaurant service. The culture is genuinely collaborative and team focussed. You will be supported by our Group Managers, who are dedicated to your professional progression within the wider group (Bessie's, Alma's and Bar Copains)

The Ideal Candidate

The right person to take this role needs to be able to be a true presence in a great dining room, both connecting with every guest who comes through but also training and empowering your team to do the same.

You will have at least three years experience as a Restaurant Manager, Venue Manager or General Manager of well regarded venues, as well as a genuine passion and extensive knowledge of both food and wine and an understanding of cooking techniques and provenance of ingredients.

An ability to understand and adhere to financial targetssuch as wage costs, discounts, stock variance etc is crucial, as is the ability manage diverse teams and a proactive approach to problem solving.
