Beach House Motel - The Strand, Townsville

Beach House Motel is seeking an experienced and professional Onsite Management Couple to join our team at our well-established motel, ideally located on The Strand in Townsville.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated couple with strong hospitality and management experience who are passionate about customer service and enjoy a hands-on role overseeing the daily operations of a prime accommodation business. As the face of the motel, you will work together to ensure guests receive exceptional service while maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the property.

What We Offer

- Salary package: $100,000 - $115,000 plus superannuation
- On-site accommodation provided (1-bedroom apartment) including utilities
- Stable, long-term role within a family-owned business
- Roster: Monday, Thursday & Friday: 7:30am - 7:00pm; Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am - 6:00pm; After-hours on-call on rostered days only

Key Responsibilities

Working together as a management team, responsibilities include:

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the motel and apartments
- Front office and back-office operations
- Reception duties including guest check-ins/check-outs, reservations, and account management
- Handling guest enquiries and delivering exceptional customer service
- Providing local recommendations and assisting with guest communications
- Managing group bookings and reservation coordination




- General administration, invoicing, and reporting
- Assisting with accounts receivable and payable processes
- Managing after-hours guest issues and emergencies
- Coordinating, rostering, and supervising housekeeping operations
- Managing social media platforms, marketing initiatives, and occupancy growth
- Monitoring financial performance and preparing operational reports for owner
- General repairs and maintenance throughout the motel/apartments and grounds, including outdoor/property upkeep, room maintenance, and liaising with contractors and service providers as required

Skills & Experience Required

- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar hospitality management role
- Strong administration, organisational, and communication skills
- Experience using motel management software, GuestPoint preferred
- Ability to lead, support, and work collaboratively within a small team
- Hands-on, proactive, and customer-focused approach
- Ability to live in office and take ownership of daily operations
- Current RSA and RMLV certificates, or willingness to obtain
