This is a hands-on position suited to a skilled Watchmaker who is comfortable working across a broad range of quality Swiss mechanical watches and can manage repairs from initial assessment through to completion. You will join a professional and well-equipped workshop with a strong and consistent volume of service and repair work.

Key responsibilities

- Assessment and diagnosis of mechanical watches
- Servicing, repairing and overhauling Swiss mechanical movements
- Disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, assembly and regulation
- Testing completed watches for accuracy, performance and reliability
- Preparing repair estimates and quotations
- Identifying, sourcing and ordering required parts
- Recording work performed and maintaining accurate service records
- Updating repair and job information using computer-based systems
- Managing your workload and completing repairs within reasonable timeframes
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workshop setting

About you

- At least 5 years of professional watchmaking experience




- Recognised watchmaking qualifications or formal industry training
- Strong experience with Swiss mechanical watches
- Sound knowledge of automatic, manual-wind and complicated movements
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Experience with professional watchmaking tools and testing equipment
- Experience preparing quotations and ordering parts
- Good computer skills and the ability to confidently use workshop, inventory and general business systems
- Strong organisational skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
