Clinical Supervisor, Exercise Physiologist
At MVMT Rehab, we believe recovery should happen in real life — in homes, parks, gyms, and communities, not just inside clinic walls. We're a people-first mobile Exercise Physiology team working across Sydney, QLD, and the ACT, primarily supporting clients under compensable schemes (Workers' Compensation and CTP), alongside growing exposure to private, DVA, Life Insurance, Medicare, and NDIS.
We're grounded in purpose, compassion, and high standards. Our mission is to deliver high-value, community-based rehab while building a workplace our team genuinely loves being part of. We think those two things go together — and we're growing.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Exercise Physiologist who's ready to step into a leadership role without stepping away from the clinical work they love. As Clinical Supervisor, you'll be the clinical backbone of the team — setting the standard for care, mentoring the practitioners around you, and helping build a culture where excellence and wellbeing sit side by side.
This isn't a desk-bound management role. You'll carry your own caseload (approximately 30 hours of clinical work per week), which means you stay close to the work, close to the clients, and close to what makes MVMT Rehab tick. Your leadership happens in the field as much as in a meeting room.
Clinical caseload: ~25-30 hours per week
Travel: Occasional travel required to shadow staff and attend team meetings. Our team are spread across NSW, QLD and ACT so a degree of travel will be required.
Work from home: Available in line with our FlexWork Policy
What You'll Be Doing
Supervising a team of Exercise Physiologists in clinical practice — supporting their development, maintaining standards, and being a steady presence when things get complex
Monitoring and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of clinical services
Conducting performance evaluations, providing clear and constructive feedback, and actively contributing to the training of clinical staff
Developing and coordinating team-wide continuing education — identifying upskilling needs and turning them into structured learning
Developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures that improve both patient outcomes and day-to-day operations
Staying across the latest advancements in clinical practice, research, and healthcare regulations — and ensuring the team does too
Collaborating with senior staff and management to coordinate patient care and enhance the client experience
Providing genuine mentorship and leadership — fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and clinical excellence
Travelling occasionally to shadow and meet clinicians in the field and attend team meetings
Why MVMT Rehab
Stay clinical, lead clinically — You keep your own caseload. This role doesn't pull you out of the work you trained for; it adds a layer of purpose to it.
Shape how a team grows — You'll have real influence over clinical standards, CPD, and the culture of a team that genuinely wants to be led well.
Flexibility that's real — Hybrid and WFH options built into the role, not grudgingly offered.
A team worth investing in — Our clinicians are curious, motivated,
and want to be mentored. This is a rewarding environment to lead in.
Backed by a people-first organisation — We focus on outcomes, communication, and collaboration — not just numbers.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor of Exercise Physiology (or related field) and current ESSA registration as an Accreditated Exercise Physiologist
4+ years of clinical experience, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience preferred but not essential
Minimum 2 years experience working with Workers Compensation or CTP with strong knowledge of compensable schemes
Deep knowledge of exercise physiology principles and their application across complex presentations — MSK, mental health, chronic disease
Robust clinical instincts — you can assess, adapt, and make decisions under pressure
The ability to interpret and apply current research — you're evidence-based by habit, not just by training
Excellent written and verbal communication — you can deliver a difficult conversation as well as a thorough case note
Strong relationship skills — with clients, referrers, healthcare professionals, and your own team
A genuine commitment to integrity, professional ethics, and leading by example
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to travel periodically across MVMT's service regions.
This Role is for You If…
You want to lead without leaving clinical work behind
You find satisfaction in watching someone else improve because of your guidance
You hold yourself to a high standard — and you bring the team with you, not just the expectation
You're organised, clear-headed, and calm when complexity arises
You believe great clinical culture is built deliberately, not by accident
