Interior Designer - High End Residential

Kyearn Architecture is seeking an experienced High End Residential Interior Designer to join our design team. This is a full time position based in our North Sydney office. As a High End Residential Interior Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating bespoke, sophisticated interior spaces for our prestigious clientele. You will work collaboratively with architects, clients, and contractors to translate vision into exceptional residential environments that reflect the highest standards of luxury design. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects that showcase your creativity and expertise in the residential interior design sector.

Key responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive interior design concepts and detailed design proposals for high-end residential projects
- Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using industry-standard design software
- Conduct site visits and client consultations to understand project requirements, preferences and aesthetic goals
- Select and source premium materials, finishes, furnishings and decorative elements appropriate to project briefs
- Collaborate with architects and consultants to ensure seamless integration of interior design with architectural elements
- Manage project budgets and timelines whilst maintaining the highest quality standards
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and tradespeople throughout the construction and installation phases




- Conduct design reviews and quality inspections to ensure projects are completed to specification
- Present design concepts and recommendations to clients with clear communication and professional documentation
- Stay current with contemporary design trends, materials and technologies in luxury residential design

What we're looking for

- A tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related design discipline
- Minimum 3 years' professional experience in high-end residential interior design
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing completed luxury residential projects of exceptional quality
- Proficiency in design software including Revit, AutoCAD and 3D rendering tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of interior design principles, spatial planning and construction methodologies
- Strong understanding of luxury materials, finishes and furnishings, and established relationships with premium suppliers
- Excellent visual communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality presentation drawings and renderings
- Outstanding client management and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate client needs into sophisticated design solutions




- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering projects to the highest aesthetic and technical standards
- Capability to work independently and as part of a collaborative design team
