We're seeking an inspiring and results-driven State Field Sales Manager to lead our NSW/QLD Field Sales team, with responsibility for delivering the Pet channel plan across Metcash and Pet Specialty customers.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially savvy and people-focused sales leader who thrives on coaching high-performing teams, building trusted customer partnerships and translating strategy into outstanding execution in-store. You will have the autonomy to shape state performance, develop future talent, and deliver meaningful commercial impact across a diverse and fast-moving pet retail landscape.
Based in Sydney, NSW, you will be reporting to the National Field Sales Manager, where you will lead and inspire a team of Territory Managers across NSW/QLD, creating the conditions for success through coaching, capability building and a relentless focus on execution excellence. You will connect business and customer priorities with the realities of the field, ensuring our brands are visible, available and activated to win with pet owners and shoppers.
A day in the life…
Lead and develop a high-performing field sales team, driving capability, accountability and execution excellence.
Translate national strategies into clear state priorities across NSW/QLD
Deliver sales growth, distribution, ranging and in-store execution across Metcash and Pet Specialty customers.
Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships to drive sustainable commercial outcomes.
Use insights to identify opportunities, solve challenges and improve field performance.
Partner cross-functionally to bring business priorities to life in-store.
Maintain a regular field presence across NSW/QLD including regional and overnight travel.
What will make you successful
Leadership experience in FMCG, field sales, customer development or account management, ideally within pet care or a related consumer category.
Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.
Experience working across complex retail environments, ideally Metcash, independent grocery and Pet Specialty.
Strong track record delivering sales, distribution, ranging and execution outcomes.
Strong commercial acumen, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical capability with experience using reporting and business tools.
Willingness to travel regularly across NSW/QLD including regional and overnight travel.
